I did find out that there is a way to program the 460 to print either corded or Wifi, in the event you're on a trip with no Wifi Connection. I can be in the living room and send anything to the printer from up to 20 feet away. Sure enough, HP discontinued it but found one on Ebay with the Wifi card. I was so afraid that if or when my 460C finally dies, I wouldnt be able to purchase another one of these units. I decided to purchase another unit but this time one with the Wifi card included. However, I found every time I wanted to print something, I had to physically take my laptop to where the printer was, attach the USB cord then print out what I wanted. Anyway, Love the size and ease of transporting it. I didn't think about buying this same unit that came with a Wireless Card 460WF. Loved my first one so much, bought a secondīought Model 460C. Verified purchase: Yes | Condition: Pre-owned It prints very very excellent and fast enough, pretty fast, I am rating this as excellent printer for a product.

in a crowded city area, & apartments, Many have computers & phones around with Bluetooth and my printer should not be visible or at least require PIN#.

of windows- These days,you no longer need the CD, Windows will install your printer. I use the USBcable for better security than using the Bluetooth, but lot of trouble, H.Packard lists this downld under older vsns. Packard lists this download, but the site does not allow the actual download.

Getting this software from online has not been possible so far. It might be easy to set up but not acceptably without this software to assign PIN# for security on PAN home and study. Despite what they say, for Bluetooth esp., it is not okay to just easily install with Windows program!!! Windows will not do what the CD does and assign PIN# to Bluetooth printer connection. Without that CD and it's HP Toolbox on CD I cannot secure my bluetooth connection with PIN or passcode for bluetooth printer security. I would like my printer to not be visible. I live in a dorm building with crazies and also crazies at the library -the types with prying eyes and recreational usage of computers. They (including H.Packard) claim that no need for The CD or it's Official Toolbox program. Bluetooth is very feasible, but cannot set up the PIN/Passcode. I am insistent on PAN (Private Area Network) for e as a writer and study & homework - personal use would be similar to using a typewriter at home for work, study, writing, journalism, etc.
This is because of the availability of the software. Have not been able to set up for W'less Bluetooth acceptably It is not easy to set up for wireless & have yet to set up satisfactorily for wireless. It prints surprisingly faster than expected.
